All green fees booked at the Club by an individual shall be subject to the following policy:
i. All green fee bookings must be paid in full at time of booking. This also includes member guest bookings.
Cancellations made 72 hours or more prior to the first tee time.
i. Full Cancellation – Call club to re-arrange date or request a refund.
ii. Cancellation of a player(s) – Call club to arrange a player refund.
iii. Amending the date or time of a booking – Call club to confirm rate. The new date & time booked will be subject to the rate available on the new date and the initial payment can be used towards the balance.
Cancellations or amendments made within 72 hours of the first tee time
i. Full Cancellation – will forfeit their full payment..
ii. Cancellations of a player(s) – will forfeit the payment of the player(s) cancelling
iii. Amending the date or time of a booking – will forfeit their full payment.

i. If a golfer(s) chooses to play a 9-hole or 18-hole round of golf, then the weather worsens and the golfer(s) decides not to continue, no refund will be given.
ii. If the golfer(s) chooses to play a 9-hole or 18-hole round of golf, and in the event of any unforeseen circumstances the golfer(s) decides not to continue, no refund will be given.
iii. If your round is disrupted due to thunder storms the club will temporarily suspend play until safe to resume. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
iv. If during your round the course becomes unplayable through severe weather, as deemed by the management you will be entitled to:
A 50% voucher off your next visit if you have completed 9 holes or a 100% voucher off your next visit if you have not completed 9 holes.
i. If the course is closed on your day of play (as deemed by the management), no person may play on the course and all bookings are cancelled. It is up to the individual(s) concerned to re-book their tee time(s) or request a refund by emailing, calling or in person at the club within
72 hours from their original tee time. After 72 hours no refund will be given.
i. We politely request all golfers to repair their pitch marks and rake bunkers.
ii. Where a dress code is in operation, the details of the dress code will be displayed on the club website and/or in the club house. All players must abide by the dress code in operation. Players failing to adhere to the dress code will be asked to withdraw from the course or club house until appropriately attired. No refunds will be given for failure to adhere to the dress code.
iii. Mobile phones should be switched to silent whilst on the course.
iv. Golf etiquette should be adhered to at all times on and off the course. Players will be advised if they are not adhering to reasonable behaviour. Continued failure to adhere to reasonable behaviour may result in players being asked by to withdraw from the course or club house. No refunds will be given for failure to adhere to reasonable standards of behaviour. The general manager and their representatives (including but not limited to course marshals and golf professional staff) will be the sole arbiter in any decision on behaviour within the demise of the club.
i. Tee times are only bookable 7 days in advance (local variations may apply)
ii. Where concession rates are applicable including senior and junior’s a valid ID must be provided on arrival.
iii. Buggies may not be driven by anyone under the age of 18 years.
iv. Players must be competent for the course they are playing (including both safety and pace of play). Failure to demonstrate suitable competency whilst on the course may result in a player being asked to pick up or withdraw from the course. No refund will be given.
v. Twilight tee times are offered at a reduced rate due to the fact that a limited amount of time is available to play a round before the light deteriorates. As such, it is possible that you may not complete all 18 holes during your round, and the later the tee time, the fewer holes you will be able to play.
vi. Routine course maintenance takes place throughout the year. Due to unforeseen climatic changes we are unable to confirm when these works will be taking place. No refund will be given due to course maintenance activities.
i. To ensure that there is a consistent speed of play The Club reserves the right to pair up golfers as required. If you do not wish to be paired up you will be required to pay for four players at the time of booking. There is a minimum of a two ball playing policy.
i. Only the booker may be in control of the Golf Car at any one time.
ii. The Club does not accept liability for damage or personal injury to any passenger, or other person whilst the Golf Car is in the care or control of the hirer/s.
iii. The hirer/s of the Golf Car shall be liable for any damage (including the Golf Car) or injury caused by negligent operation.
iv. The Golf cars will only be used within the designated areas of the golf course.
v. The Golf Car shall only be used to carry two persons and two bags maximum.
vi. Immediately on completion of the rental period of the Golf Car, it shall be returned to the collection point and the key handed back to golf reception/pro shop.
vii. Any damage or incident must be reported to an official at the club immediately
viii. Failure to demonstrate suitable competency whilst operating the buggy may result in the buggy service being withdrawn from the hirer. No refund will be given.
To ensure fair access for members and visitors we have introduced a selection of booking terms and conditions.
i Bookings for the Open Play Scheme should be made over the phone.
ii Open Play Tee times may be booked up to a maximum of seven days in advance.
iii All bookings are subject to open play availability. (Each course allocates a minimum of 2 tee times prior to 12pm Midweek and after 2pm on weekends and bank holidays.). All members using their Open Play privilege must present their club membership card alongside one other form of personal ID
iv Crown Golf members, may also pay a discounted member guest rate for buggies, range balls (if applicable) and hire of trolleys.
v Full membership details (found on the membership card) must be provided at the time of booking.
i Crown members with the correct membership privileges play free of charge on the Open Play scheme anytime Monday to Friday up to 10 times per annum per club. In addition, 7-day members may book and play free of charge after 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays, including bank holidays.
ii Guests accompanying members using Open Play will receive a 25% discount from the headline green fee price.
iii Crown Golf members playing in a non-residential society at one of our network of clubs will enjoy a 40% discount applied to the contracted green fee rate.
iv Open Play includes all Crown Golf facilities available at the time of booking and as varied from time to time, excluding The Nicklaus Golf Course at St Mellion and The Nine of Herts, a 9-hole Hertfordshire course. Crown Members may book one Open Play tee time and not book multiple tee times.
v Open Play may not be used as part of a pre-booked golf break. St Mellion International Resort offers Crown Members 20% off the best available short break rates at the time of booking. Members staying on a package basis (inc. accommodation and food) enjoy complimentary upgrades to the Nicklaus Signature. For specific terms and conditions at St Mellion, please contact stmellion-golfdays@//crown-golf.co.uk.
i. Local T’s and C’s may apply per club
ii. Failure to declare that the booking is under Open Play scheme at the time of booking and/or failure to provide valid membership details will render the booking invalid and result in the full visitor green fee being applied.
iii.Crown Golf reserve the right to amend Open Play terms and conditions. Any amendments will be implemented from the 1st January each year and featured on this web page.
The following terms and conditions apply to all gift vouchers issued (Including club competition vouchers):
i. Available for use on green fee and retail purchases only. unless specifically stated otherwise on the voucher issued
ii. Voucher is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
iii. Voucher value must be used in one purchase or remaining credit will be lost.
iv. Voucher is valid for 5 years from date of purchase (vouchers purchased before the 2ndDecember 2019 are valid for 12 months)
v. The company reserves the right to cancel any goodwill vouchers issued, without prior notice, including but not limited to those issued to charities, renewals, joiners and prize winners. Goodwill vouchers have no redeemable cash value and are non-transferrable.
